Moving to a not-blocked server
Changelog: Allowing VPN-less access to baam
Since Cloudflare was blocked, you had to use VPN to access baam.
We are moving to a different server, which isn’t blocked (yet).
From now own you should be able to access us at baam.tatar without vpn.
If you are using our android app (which you should), please update to the latest version.
P.S.
Don’t use our old domain baam.duckdns.org.
You will be redirected at first, but it may stop working soon.
Use new domain, be more tatar.

You thought duckdns was too scary – we listened. Now you can visit us at baam.tatar.
Don’t worry – all your data is there, it is just the domain name that’s shorter and more tatar.
P.S.
Our android app was battle tested and we can say that it is quite stable.
Adopt the app now and irritate your TAs less!

Authentication update!
Changelog: No more need to constantly enter your university email and password!
We changed the way we handle authentication, fixing a lot of problems with it:
- no more frequent re-logins requred!
- finally fixed big cookie monster by making smaller cookies to appease him (no more
413 Entity Too Largeerrors due to cookies growing too large) - now you no longer are promted to re-login after logging out

Yet another scanner update
Changelog: Low contrast conditions are bearable
- In very low contrast conditions you have at least 40% chance to scan code successfully (most scanners would not find qr codes in these conditions)

Scanner update! (beta)
Changelog: Scanner now scans at 175° angle!
- Scanner allows scanning QR codes at near impossible angles
(we tested it, but it is still in beta) -
Known bug: If under uneven lighting you may have troubles scanning QR code
- Added deadzone for qr codes (‘cause projectors love to be tilted)
- Made “change camera” button visible immediately (it sometimes hid behind address bar)
- Changed camera selection algorithm so that it would be compatible with browsers’ privacy “features”
- Fixed handful of small bugs for some people
- Scanner allows scanning QR codes at near impossible angles
